I’m improving my earring making technique every day! Just full of new design ideas. I am hoping to get selling these as soon as possible!

I’ve been making earrings, I’m hoping to get them into a few galleries over summer and sell them! They’re made from my recycled etching plates, with quality beads and careful craftsmanship.

This is the catalogue for my final piece! the inside leaf paper is made from my own design in lino cut, the inner paper is all high quality etching paper, the buttons are all made from recycled etching plates used in this project. I’m very happy with this piece, especially how well it incorporates with my final etching shown below.

My final piece for my most recent project! I’m pretty pleased with how it went. The print is 26 X 36cm.

Having turned my final image into an etching, I’ve been working hard in the print room doing some colour experiments with the plate - it’s been good fun! These prints are only A4 size, and I’m really excited to make a bigger print of the same image.

A little bit of playing around in the studio, with colour and also by stretching and abstracting my chosen image, I came up with lots of interesting prints, these being some of them. They’re interesting, but not quite what I was aiming at…

This is the first test of all the drawings I’ve done for my part three project put together, and I’m quite pleased with the outcome! Its nice to feel as if things are pulling together in a project… Lots more work needs to be done, including turning it into an etching, this is really only a mock up, an idea of what the end product will look like!

For the final project of my foundation course at Falmouth, I’m looking at all the many things in my life I have left behind, that have shaped and changed me, and that represent who I was and am. I will combine my recordings eventually for my final piece or pieces, to make a sort of waste land of my past. This is one of my compositions for this project; my mothers car has always been a wealth of junk, a positive wonderland of mess. But I love it, it’s homely, and my mother always filled our journeys with games and songs (as well as tissues, plastic bags and sand). This image represents both my mum’s sometimes appalling messiness, and also her whimsy and fun.

I have long been considering the idea of attempting to make my own jewellery at home - a challenge considering my lack of tools. But I’ve given it a go this Easter (for my mum’s birthday) and though they’re not the best earrings I’ve ever made, I’m pretty pleased with these as a first try!

This the continuation of my project about what has inspired me as an artist. These three final pieces represent three of these things; my Grandfather - also an artist who’s work has surrounded me my whole life, Venice and Florence - my artistic awakening on a trip to Italy and my passion for the Renaissance and its masters, Literature - my passion for the written word has effected me in many areas of life, especially artistically.
